Possibly, the Spanish real estate market will follow these steps in 2023.
The year 2022 will be remembered as the golden year of real estate, surpassing even 2021 as the year ofthe boom after emerging stronger from the pandemic. The interest in changing housing has driven the more than 600,000 home sales with which it will presumably close in 2022. The change in the housing preferences of citizens has caused great dynamism making housing sold very quickly. The purchase market has reconquered the sector and has become, for the second consecutive year, the real protagonist of real estate. However, it has also been a year marked by high inflation that has caused the European Central Bank to raise interest rates, affecting the Euribor and – consequently – mortgages. This, along with other measures such as the 2% limit on rental price updates directly affect the market. What will happen to the real estate market in 2023
With a big break in the months of confinement and a big boom since then, the real estate market has seen big changes in 2020 and 2021. It seemed that in 2022 we finally started to see a normalization of the market. "The level of sales is expected to moderate for 2023 with a fall of 12%, which will also be a very dynamic year.
